Coastline discription:
Length of Coast strip is 36 км.
Main Beach areas: Skala, Poros, Antisamos, Sami.
Over 90% of the coastline is remote with secluded coves and mostly pebble beaches.
Georgeos forested hills and limestone rock formations. Coastline protected from storms.Secuided Beaches:
From Skala to Poros: Heroulaki Beach, Carpi Beach, Kako Lagkadi Beach.
From Poros to Sami : Makria Petra Beach, Lazarou Beach, Xilomata Beach, Koutsoupia Beach, Platia Punta Beach.
Kayaking Itinerary 1: Skala - Poros ;
Paddling Distance: 11 км.
Duration: 5 hours
Difficulty Level: Easy (in the usual weather conditions)
Coastline description: After the long sandy beach of Skala, the coastline becomes rocky. It is a nice and relaxing stretch. Secluded cove in “kako langadi” with the spectacular beach and the caves in the rocks.
Kayaking Itinerary 2: Poros to Antisamos;
From Skala to Poros: Heroulaki Beach, Carpi Beach, Kako Lagkadi Beach.
From Poros to Sami : Makria Petra Beach, Lazarou Beach, Xilomata Beach, Koutsoupia Beach, Platia Punta Beach.
Kayaking Itinerary 1: Skala - Poros ;

Coastline description: One of the most remote parts of Kefalonian coastline with no sign of human intervention along the route. Beautiful waters, forested hills and Ithaca just a couple of miles on our east compose the scenery. Koutsoupia beach, one of the real gems of Kefalonia.
Winds known as "Meltemia" blow from north to south usually starting after 14:00 - 15:00 pm. If you prefer calmer waters for Kayaking and swimming simply go to beaches on the south side of the island.

Getting there & away
Ferry
Four Islands Ferries runs a daily ferry service that sails to an ever-changing schedule (and with ever-changing prices) between Nydri (Lefkada), Frikes (Ithaki), Fiskardo (Kefallonia) and Vasiliki (Lefkada). Trips include Nydri to/from Frikes (per person/car €5.30/26.50, 1½ hours), Nydri to/from Fiskardo (via Frikes; €6.40/27.50, 2½ hours) and Vasiliki to/from Fiskardo (per person/car €6.40/27.50, one hour).

The beautiful Koutsoupia beach. As with most of the beaches on the east coast there is no road access
